Great Ouse at Willington – A deeper, wider and slower stretch with tench, bream, roach and carp. This area is navigable which means boat traffic throughout the summer, the bonus is that weed is not usually a problem on this length. Throughout the summer, decent roach can be caught on hemp and tares all through the day on the pole or float rod. The tench, bream and carp usually fall to leger tactics and some of these fish are fantastic specimens. Carp to 18lbs, tench to 6lbs and bream to 9lbs have all been caught here. Barbel are also starting to show in this length. The Club owns this stretch of river and it really is worth getting to know. Car parking is now available on site, you must use extreme caution when crossing the bridleway and park by the fenceline.
