A few fish have been coming out of Woburn over the past week despite the drop in temperature.
Paul Summerfield with “Son of Scaley” at 25lb 10oz
Marc Preedy with one of the stockies at 22lb 8oz
Marc Summerfield with “Little Pecs” at 22lb 2oz
The fishery will be closed in order to complete the footpath walkway in the south west corner of the lake from 9.00 am on Saturday 2nd December until Sunday 3rd December at 4.00 pm. Apologies for any inconvenience.
Those members who have previously visited the lake in the wetter months will have seen that the rainwater runoff from the surrounding fields can turn the footpath on the south west corner of the lake into a mud bath. The work party allowed us to partially construct a walkway which should make things a lot easier.
The walkway as previously stated is not fully complete and the chicken wire that has been pinned to it in order to provide grip does not currently run the full length so please use with caution.
Another work party is planned in the near future in order to complete the work.

The club needs a further bailiff for the river at Kempston, on the Queens Park to Great Denham bank, particularly for weekends. If you are interested in taking up the role then please contact secretary Roger King on 07914 164818
Well done to Lee Evans for this brace of known fish from Woburn this weekend.
The first is a fish that has been in the lake for many years and is named “3 Scale”. It weighed 27lb 3oz at the time of capture.
The second fish is known as “The Shovel” and weighed 28lb 4 oz.
This fish has certainly grown on from it’s initial stocking weight of 9lb when introduced to the lake in 2012.
Congratulations to Les Day for some fine angling on the Ouse at Kempston this weekend.
Les’s catch included a tench of 6lb 10oz, Bream of 7lb 6oz & 7lb 10oz and Chub of 4lb 10oz & 5lb 15oz.
