Vauxhall Angling Club
Covid 19 Update, Good News!

Covid 19 – Club Statement on fishing starting again on Wednesday 13 May (do not arrive at any venue before daybreak, so not before 5.15 am at the very earliest)

It is great news that we can start fishing again but as I am sure you were expecting, there are new rules which must be adhered to without question. This is for everyone’s safety.

If you or any of your household are suffering from any Covid 19 symptoms, do not visit any of our venues.

On any of our venues that allow night fishing:
– A maximum of a 48-hour stay is allowed.
– You must provide for your own toileting which must be taken away with you. You will be
asked to show bailiffs how you intend to cope with this.

No guest permits will be issued.

You must not congregate anywhere on the venue

Do not approach any other person, always maintain the minimum Government recommended distance.

Tingrith – the Manor Lake is closed until June 16th as usual. You must fish from existing pegs only on the Mere and Woodlands. If all pegs are taken, you must leave.
Woburn Sands – fish from existing pegs only. If all pegs are taken, you must leave.
Sharnbrook- as this is a large venue, there is no need to be close to another angler, try to leave at least a 15 metres gap.

You must carry soap and water or alcohol gel (minimum 60%) to use immediately after opening gates and locks. Do not spray any of our locks with disinfectant spray of any description. Do not leave any gate open or unlocked.

The toilet at Tingrith will not usable until it is safe to do so.

If possible do not use any metal handrails, the virus has a long lifetime on metals. IF you need to use the handrails, immediately cleanse your hands after use.

There will be no work parties until advised and safe to do so.

There will be no matches until advised and safe to do so.

As usual, keepnets are currently banned during the closed season, this may be extended.

Bailiffs will still ask to see your book from a safe distance, please hold your book up, state your name and book number.

Ensure that you leave nothing at the venue.

Our bailiffs have a difficult job to do, please help them do this safely.

Always follow the Government Guidelines.

Finally, to be clear, failure to comply with any of the above, will lead to your permanent exclusion from the club.

Apart from all of this, enjoy your fishing!
